Last Hurrah of Summer....Delaware Water Gap...

We've had a great summer and we ended it with an epic trip up to Cape Cod. To break up the driving we stopped halfway and spent two night camping in Pennsylvania in the Delaware Water Gap. Yet another National Park to add to our list. We stayed at Dingmans Campground which was really nice and conveniently located to a bunch of fun hikes we got to do. The weather when we arrived was chilly and rainy but it was kind of perfect weather for being in the middle of the woods.

We learned when we arrived that the Delaware Water Gap is known as the "Niagara of Pennsylvania" as there are tons of waterfalls all around. We got spoke to a park ranger who gave us good advice for hikes we could do that weren't too hard for Adam (or us carrying Harper) but that would give us really nice views and access to the falls.

So we spent our morning hiking through the woods and checking out tons of waterfalls - they were amazing! The weather was also perfect which helps. We sure put in some good effort though hiking up all the stairs to get to the tops of some of the falls. Totally worth it!

After our morning of waterfalls we visited a nearby town called Milford. It was a cute little town and we had a nice lunch at a sandwich shop there.

Then it was back to the campground to ride bikes, check out the river, read, rest and enjoy the campfire. A great start to our last hurrah of summer.
