Celebrating Meghan & Rob...Greeley style

I think the only thing missing from the Royal Wedding last year was my family.  No seriously, they are the missing ingredient to any wedding.  If you are planning a wedding and you aren't apart of my family, add us to your registry.  Immediately.

We are great additions to any wedding photo...

We obviously know how to make beautiful center pieces...

Sometimes there's even fireworks...

Of course what we do best is to rock the dance floor from song one until the lights are turned off.  I even think it's possible you'll find at least Sarah still out there tearing it up.

So if you want a rockin good time at the next wedding you plan to attend, give us a call, but count us out for November 3, we've already got a wedding to go to...

Post Ceremony/Pre-Reception...

We had a little bit of time to spare between the ceremony and the reception so after snapping some photos outside of the church, we did what we do best, we hung out at the bar.

Pumpkin beers were had, more stories were shared, and we did our best to conserve energy knowing there was a dance floor in our future.  The dance floor was about to have the night of it's life.

The Wedding...

I woke up that Saturday morning, still smelling a bit like campfire, and opened the curtains and looked out on a sparkling lake surrounded by trees rustling from a fall breeze, and not a cloud in the sky.  It was going to be the perfect day for a spectacular couple.

The wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful church in Laconia at 2:00 in the afternoon.  The groom and groomsmen looked daper and the bridesmaids looked crisp and classic in their black gowns.

Then Meghan walked in.  Looking as gorgeous as ever in a stunning gown, grinning ear to ear.  She was the perfect bride.  Uncle Bob held it together pretty well I'd say walking her down the aisle.  It was a great sight to see.

The ceremony was very nicely done with poignant readings, a great message about love and giving yourself to your partner (always good to be reminded of these things!) and wonderful songs throughout.  They of course both said "I do."  And with a kiss it was official.  Meghan and Rob were husband and wife.  They couldn't have looked happier.

The Bonfire...

After a gorgeous sunset and dinner amongst family we all gathered around a bonfire on the beach to celebrate the upcoming nuptials.  Uncle Tim pulled out his guitar and started to play.  And all of a sudden, all was right with the world.  Seriously, there are few things in life as comforting, entertaining, memory stirring, and memory making as Uncle Tim singing and playing his guitar.

After each song, Adam would quickly request, "Sing another song Uncle Tim."  And you know what, he did.

We made it!

After a great evening spent in NY we woke up rested and ready to tackle the second half of the trip to New Hampshire.  We hit a little bit of commuter traffic, but it wasn't long before we had nothing but open road in front of us with great scenery to include gorgeous homes in Connecticut, beautiful trees and mountainsides in Massachusetts, and Lee & Kathleen's car in New Hampshire! Yep, though we were at one point an hour apart, between restroom, coffee and gas breaks we wound up finding each other on the interstate.  The Virginia Greeleys were caravaning it to the big wedding weekend, loved it!

Once in the lake region, Andy and I started our mission to find a water front dive to eat lobster rolls at for lunch.  After a quick search on our phones we came across the Lobster Connection and found ourselves chowing down on amazing lobster and taking in our first views of Lake Winnipesaukee.

With lobster in our bellies, we headed to the hotel where the Greeley family fun officially started!  Our room had gorgeous views of the lake and beach area.  Adam and Olivia wasted no time getting their toes and hands in the sand.  While those cousins were enjoying their time together, the grown-up (well mostly) cousins wasted no time catching up, sharing laughs and of course, enjoying some adult beverages.

Pumpkin beer w/ shot of Stoli Vanilla and cinnamon sugar rim, yeah.

Adam had met most of his cousins last summer, but this was the first introduction to cousin Melissa. They became fast friends.

Watching the sunset on that spectacular lake surrounded by family is probably as close to perfection as one can get.
