Flag Football...

This spring Adam decided he wanted to give Flag Football a try. It was actually so much fun and I really enjoyed watching the games each week. He was placed on the Redskins - how appropriate - and he had an awesome coach and some really nice - and good - teammates.

It was a weird spring as far as weather was concerned so we had some really chilly games and then quite a few games that were canceled due to rain. The boys went into the playoffs with the best record in the league but unfortunately they lost - not surprising to anyone, the Patriots went on to win the Super Bowl.

Regardless of how the season ended the boys all had an awesome time and they all learned quite a lot. The coach threw a pizza party to celebrate the season and had some really nice things to say about each player. Of Adam he said, "Every team needs a player like Adam on it. He's a leader on and off the field, never misses a practice, is willing to do whatever is needed of him, and proves that you don't have to be quarterback to be a team leader." Wow! I'll always remember that - I hope he does too!

Great season Redskins!
