Memorial Day Weekend at Bethpage

We had a great Memorial Day weekend down at our campsite at Bethpage. It was great to finally have those pools open - Adam had been eyeing them since March - and while he isn't quite tall enough to ride the big slides, he found there's still a lot to enjoy at the pool area.

In fact this was a great weekend to learn a lot about the fun stuff to enjoy at Bethpage. With warm weather we were able to do all kinds of things - like take the dogs swimming - well, Liddy at least. We also played some putt putt and took some walks on the docks to see if anyone was catching any crabs. It was also the perfect weather to sit outside (bugs weren't biting yet) so we got in lots of rounds of Trouble & Chutes & Ladders. And of course what day would be complete without a trip to the ice cream shop and then enjoying said ice cream around the campfire?!

It was a perfect weekend to kick-off the summer and of course we did take some time to remember those who sacrificed everything to make fun weekends like this possible. God bless America - that's for sure!
