Virginia Tech the Sequel...Part III...

The weather forecast was calling for rain in the afternoon/evening (boo) so we did our tailgate for lunch instead. We baked up some amazing nachos and Hawaiian roll ham sammies - we've used our camper oven maybe a total of 3 times and now I can't imagine how we've lived without it. Everything came out perfectly.

We played lots of corn hole, the kids ran around and played football with friends and the afternoon rain never happened - hooray!

For an early dinner we decided to try out the new pizza place in town - Bennys - which took over where Gumbys used to be (sad face). We had heard this place serves up epic slices and they weren't kidding! Harper's eyes were wide as he took a look and while the slice was nearly the size of him - he handled it pretty well - no surprise there (ok ok, he did also share it with Adam!)

After our pizza and wings it was time for Mark and me to head to the game - ponchos in hand! We had the most amazing seats - 2 rows back from the field and right in front of where the team enters the field during the infamous playing of "Enter Sandman!" It was unreal! We had so much fun and the rain actually held off until right before halftime. After that the rain really didn't hold back - but the ponchos helped and the victory over Duke didn't hurt either. :) Go Hokies!!

A wet but super fun night of cheering on our beloved Hokies!

Now time to start making our way back home...
