OBX Day 2...

We hit the ground running on our first official day at the beach. We rode our bikes to a new donut shop in town. The boys were in heaven watching them hand dip each donut into the icing of their choice.

From there it was off to spend our morning on the beach. Digging in the sand, putting our toes in the water (it was cold!) and just enjoying watching the waves.

Our afternoon was a little chaotic as we decided to see about moving sites - we were mostly trying to get a site where the sun was hitting the back of our camper in afternoon and also one where we had campers on either side of us - our first site we had tent campers on one side - you really need those neighbors to help block the wind so you can have your awning out to help shade and keep your camper cool. #camperproblems

That said the boys were super cooperative even though they had to go through yet another campsite tear down and set-up but the efforts were well worth it as our new site was amazing! We had super nice neighbors, tons of space, and an enormous "back yard!" We celebrated with ribs cooked over the fire (well, Andy had actually cooked them in the oven low and slow in the club house) and then of course - s'mores.

To quote Annie - I think we're going to like it here...
