Grandpa Turns 70!

On March 10 my dad/Grandpa turned the big 7-0! As much as we tried to talk him into a big party - or even a little party with friends - he was insistent that he simply wanted to celebrate the milestone with his favorite people (and surprisingly, that was us!) :) 

For his actual birthday he had two extra favorite people in town, Don & Rosemary, and he was happy to enjoy some family time during their visit as well. Look at this happy Grandpa with his loving grandkids! 

For his "birthday bash" we had the family over to our house. We put out some old pictures, decorated with a "Happy Birthday" banner and served up a dinner of shrimp cocktail, filets, twice baked potatoes and roasted asparagus. 

A big milestone for one of our favorites - I love you dad & I love the amazing Grandpa you are! Happy Birthday! XO
