Pumpkin' Patchin'...

There are few things better about fall than bundling up in cozy sweaters, jeans, boots, maybe a hat, maybe some gloves, perhaps even a scarf and heading to the pumpkin patch to gather the quintessential necessity of autumn. This year, we unfortunately had to forgo the hats, gloves, boots, jeans, sweaters and most definitely the scarves, and instead donned shorts, short sleeves, and sweat (blech.)

On a day that felt like it was borrowed from the month of July, we met up with Greg, Erica, and Blake and braved the heat to pick out our pumpkins. I suppose it's how people in California or Texas feel every year. Frankly, there's a reason I don't live in California or Texas. :)

The kids had a good time, the heat didn't seem to stop them from enjoying the "fall" fun. We gathered up a great collection of pumpkins in all shapes, sizes and colors, took refuge in the air conditioned car, and knew our pumpkins would be enjoying crisp fall weather soon enough!
