It was fun to be able to show my mom where I work and to introduce her to some of my colleagues. We enjoyed a fun dinner at a wine bar in Hastings with Doug one night. Then Gary, my Broadway loving boss, took us to see "Dear Evan Hanson!" OMG! We were both so excited and the show was amazing - as we knew it would be.
The fun continued as I made a trip back into the city to visit my friend Hilarie on the set of a Christmas special she was filming while my mom spent the day/evening with her classmates for her reunion festivities. I couldn't believe the day I had - meeting Hilarie's fellow castmates from the show "One Tree Hill" and watching tv being made. I got to chit chat with executives from Lifetime and was treated like royalty by everyone there - which was odd - but I wasn't complaining! When they were done filming I got to go out to an amazing dinner with Hilarie and three of her castmates. Talk about being treated like royalty! The restaurant pulled out all the stops bringing us amazing wines, to die for food, and desserts that were like works of art. In trying to "act like I belonged" I didn't snap near as many pictures of the meal as I would have liked to - but trust me - it was beyond belief.
What a day - what a weekend!
