Spring Break: Williamsburg KOA & Yorktown...

Our Spring Break adventures continued just down the road at our favorite campground, the Williamsburg KOA. You just can't go wrong with this campground. They always have fun activities planned, the sites are great - especially when we get our favorite one - and it's so close to all that Williamsburg has to offer.

Upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the pool was open - and it was only the middle of April! Turns out they have a huge boiler that heats the pool to 80 degrees - and with temperatures in the 70's & 80's for our whole visit it was well utilized by our crew (of course didn't get any pics of kids in the pool - we were too busy swimming with them!) :)

We also had the added bonus of Kathleen, Olivia and puppy dog Holly staying in one of the cabins for a couple days while we were there. The kids had fun getting to play together and since it was almost Easter they did their egg dying together as well.

One new thing we tried out during this visit was a trip to Yorktown. None of us had ever been and we all really enjoyed it. Again we went first thing when they opened to avoid the crowds which worked out really nicely. This is more museum based with a little bit of hands on displays outside. It was a cool timeline that you basically walked through of the American Revolution. Adam hasn't learned too much about all of that just yet so I'm sure we'll be going back in a few years when he knows more about it.

Busch Gardens was up next...
